Metal
You will be able to see wear marks over time and some of the texture can be lost or changed. Especially on bracelets and rings because those will come in contact to other surfaces. To prevent your Jewelry from getting to many marks if you don’t like that, try to take them off when you are planning on going to do activities that they might get marked. Place them in a little bag and wear them again when you are done. This way you can keep them safe and clean. Please feel free to contact me if you have any concerns or the wear marks/scratched are getting too much.
Tarnish
Sterling Silver, Fine Silver or Gold are used in my designs. Over time they can develop a tarnish/oxidize. This is a natural process, to slow down to process try not to expose your Jewelry to humidity and heat. Also the PH of your skin can be of influents on this process.
So try not to shower or swim with your Jewelry. Store your Jewelry outside of the bathroom and keeping it in a zip lock bag with an anti-tarnish tap can be helpful too.
You can use a Silver polishing cloth to polish you piece. There are also some liquids out there that will work very well, but please be aware that they can be pretty chemical and you will not be able to put most stones in it.
Oxidized Finish
Please be aware that I oxides by hand and some little unevenness may appear. I do use a special wax to protect the piece of rubbing off but over time it may rub off on some places because you are wearing it. Also the PH of your skin can be of influents on this process. Please feel free to contact me if you have any concerns or the wear marks are getting too much.
